Senator Adeola Yayi Set To Deliver 60 Boreholes Across Ogun State

The Distinguished lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, who is the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate for Ogun state has facilitated another set of 60 boreholes for the provision of portable water for communities across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State.

 

The water supply projects based on communal requests, priority and technical feasibility are ongoing and in various stages of completion ranging from site assessment and surveying, drilling, casing and pump installation and testing are set for completion in the next ten days as contractors have been fully mobilized.

 

“I am happy to announce that in the next few days some of our people in communities in need of portable water across our senatorial districts will start enjoying the commodity complimentary to major water work of the administration of our governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. The projects were facilitated based on requests to my office and prioritized on the basis of urgent need and expected numbers of beneficiaries” the senator stated while urging handlers of the project to deliver on schedule.

 

The distribution of the projects indicates Ogun West having 21 boreholes, Ogun Central 20 and Ogun East 19 with Yewa South, Abeokuta North and Ado Odo Ota LGAs having the highest number of 7 and 5 respectively and all other LGAs benefitting in various numbers.

 

Among the numerous communities and townships benefiting from the water projects are Obasanjo Hill Top, Alubarika Bode Olude Opeji, Omida Community, Moriwi Community, Pahayi Police Station Ilaro, Ijado and Ijako Townships as well as Owode Obafe Township. Other communities are Ogijo Market Igbore Community Ikenne, Odo Alere Quarters Ososa, Ibiade Community and Imakun community among others.

 

Senator Adeola stated that all the borehole will be powered by requisite generator for maximum efficiency and management stressing that he hopes that not only will the projects be useful for domestic and other economic purposes but will complement programmes for preventive health care for our people.

 

Recalled that Senator Adeola has hitherto completed many similar borehole projects across Ogun State in ultra-modern markets, school buildings, primary health care centres and other projects he facilitated.
