PANDEF National Chairman, Amb. Igali Condoles With Alinnor Family Over Demise Of Matriarch, Mrs. Benedicta Ugochi Alinnor

The National Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, has commiserated with the Alinnor Family of Umuokwara Abba, Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State, over the passing of their matriarch, Mrs. Benedicta Ugochi Alinnor, at the age of 93.

In a letter of condolence, the distinguished diplomat, former Permanent Secretary, and renowned historian described the late matriarch as a woman of exceptional character and virtue whose impact spanned generations.

“The news of the passing to glory of your dearly beloved mother, Mrs. Benedicta Ugochi Alinnor, came to my family and I with total shock and grief,” Amb. Igali said.

“This indeed is most devastating, as the Alinnor Family has lost a matriarch and virtuous woman at a time when she is needed the most. Although we mourn, we hold strong belief that the Almighty God knows best, and we glorify His exalted name.”

Amb. Igali paid tribute to Mrs. Alinnor’s life of service to God and humanity.

“Without doubt, she was a woman of exceptional character, good works and humility. Wherever she found herself, the great virtues of humility, selflessness and Godliness endeared to her unimaginable respect from her peers,” he stated.

“She touched many lives and raised giant generations of patriotic Nigerians. She served Christ with her life, showing a good example of the life of honour to her children and all others who she encountered.”

The PANDEF Chairman prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved family, noting that the late matriarch’s legacy will continue to inspire the family and community.

“I pray that the legacy which she has left behind in her 93 lofty years in service to God and humanity will go on with your entire family and community. May God specially comfort and strengthen your family at this time,” he said.

Quoting Scripture, Amb. Igali added: “For the Bible says, ‘to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord’ (2 Cor. 5:8).”

He concluded by extending his deepest sympathies to the entire Alinnor family.

“Please convey my deepest condolences to the entire Alinnor family. May her soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord!” Amb. Igali said.
