
The President General of Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP) has roundly condemned the attack on the Administrator of Ahoada East L.G.A., Mr. Gooluck Iheanachor, by yet to be Identified boys while cautioning youths against involvement in cultism following the attack on a Police officer and OSPAC personnel in Ahoada, Rivers State.
Cisca News reports that a video clip, which has now gone viral, showed that the Ahoada East Administrator Mr. Goodluck Iheanachor and the Council Secretary, Mr. Umegbewe Alabi, were rounded up in the Administrator’s office and mercilessly beaten up to the point where the Administrator was compelled to sign a resignation letter under duress.
Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), who double as the National President Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria therefore, condemned the action by these yet to be identified youths, describing it as barbaric, timid and criminal.
He also condemned in its entirety, the attack by some group of boys in Ahoada, which led to a heavy gun battle between the Police and the attackers, thereby resulting in the death of a Police officer and an OSPAC personnel attached to the Council security unit.
Amb. Ibe said, “I commiserate with the Nigerian Police Force over the loss of its officer, while calling on the Police authority and other sister security agencies to fish out the culprits and bring them to Justice”.
“The new and gradual wave of insecurity in Ekpeyeland must be nipped in the bud before it gets beyond control. As an Ambassador of Peace, I urge the youths to shun crime and criminality and embrace peace and dialogue instead of making themselves available tools to be used for acts capable of putting their future dreams in jeopardy.”
Amb Ibe further said, “I will advise the youths not to despair. As the President General of ONC and the Southern Youths Foundation of Nigeria, I am working tirelessly to draw the attention of the corporate organizations in Ekpeyeland towards the plights of the youths. And very soon our efforts will yield fruits”.
