Comrade Ajao Adejoke Appointed Director Of Finance, Logistics & Special Duties Of NANS

In a significant milestone that reflects years of dedicated service, leadership, and advocacy for students and youth development, Comr. Ajao Adejoke has been appointed as the Director of Finance, Logistics and Special Duties of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

 

The appointment comes following the recently concluded NANS National Convention, where she emerged as the only female candidate to contest for an elective position from the Southwest zone. Comr. Ajao had initially contested for the office of Financial Secretary before stepping down in the interest of unity and organizational progress. Her commitment to the ideals of selfless service and responsible leadership subsequently earned her the appointment as Director of Finance, Logistics and Special Duties.

 

Over the years, Comr. Ajao Adejoke has distinguished herself as a passionate advocate for students, women, and youth inclusion in leadership. Her journey has been marked by resilience, courage, and a determination to break barriers in spaces where female representation remains limited.

 

Among her notable achievements is her historic emergence as the first female candidate to contest for the presidency of the Yaba College of Technology Students’ Union Government (YASUG). Her bold participation challenged longstanding stereotypes and inspired many young women to aspire to leadership positions within student politics.

 

Beyond campus politics, she has held several strategic leadership positions, including serving as the Senior Special Assistant on Gender Equality to the Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Lagos Chapter (JCC Lagos). In this role, she championed initiatives focused on gender inclusion, student welfare, and youth empowerment.

Her dedication and commitment to educational development further earned her an appointment as the Special Assistant on Technical Education to the National President of NANS, where she contributed to advocacy efforts aimed at improving technical and vocational education across Nigeria.

Comr. Ajao also serves as the Coordinator of the Progressive Youth Frontier, Yaba LCDS, where she continues to mobilize and mentor young people towards active participation in leadership and community development.

 

Throughout her public service journey, she has remained committed to promoting student welfare, youth empowerment, leadership development, and inclusive governance. Her contributions have earned her recognition among student leaders and stakeholders across various levels.
