
The lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District and the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, has expressed deep grief and sadness over the demise of Arabirin Yetunde Shakirat Adesanya, the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-West Zonal Women Leader after a prolonged illness.
In a condolence message to her immediate family, the senator stated that her death at this time is a colossal loss not only to her family but APC, Ogun State and indeed, the Nigeria nation.
Arabirin Adesanya reportedly passed away on Thursday evening at her residence in Lagos.
Senator Adeola recalled that the late APC chieftain was one of his earliest supporters in Ogun State politics adding that she was a genuine party loyalist, great women mobiliser, and a gender advocate for women participation in politics and governance.
“The death of Arabirin Adesanya is a devastating loss to Ogun State and the APC family particularly among the women folk where she had discharged herself honorably. She was a principled, dependable, and resourceful woman whose contributions to party development and women causes will be evergreen ” the senator stated.
Senator Adeola prayed that Almighty God grant her eternal rest and give her immediate family, friends, and political associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of the dearly departed.
