Senator Adeola Yayi Eulogises Late Alhaji Shakiru Ayilara As Notable Community Leader And Astute Politician

Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, the Distinguished lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District and the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for Ogun State, has expressed shock and sadness over the death of Alhaji Shakiru Adeola Ayilara, popularly known as “Shako Alhaji”.

Alhaji Ayilara passed away yesterday at the age of 67.

In a statement, Senator Adeola said the demise of the community leader is a great loss not only to his immediate family and Egbaland, but to the entire people of Ogun State.

“I was shaken by the sudden demise of a notable community leader and astute politician. Indeed, his reliability, experience and straightforward approach to issues of development of Ogun State easily recommended him for a critical role in our drive for a new dawn in Ogun State and Nigeria,” the Senator stated.

Until his death, the late “Shako Alhaji” served as the Ogun State Chairman of the Association of Ram Sellers.

He also had a long record of public service, having served as an elected Councillor of the then Abeokuta Local Government in 1987. He was also Chairman of Ike Oluwa Community Development Association, Imala, and Chairman of the Ogun State Bulk Purchasing Corporation.

Senator Adeola noted that Alhaji Ayilara’s commitment to grassroots mobilization and community development made him a respected voice in Egbaland.

The Senator prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and asked Almighty Allah to grant the immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus,” Senator Adeola prayed.
