
The President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC), Amb. Emeni Ibe JP AP, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Late Mrs. Florence Okpara of Oshika II Community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
In a condolence message made available to newsmen, Amb. Emeni Ibe described the late Mrs. Florence Okpara as a peaceful, caring, and respected woman whose life positively impacted her family and community.
The ONC President General noted that her demise is a painful loss not only to the Okpara family but also to the entire Orashi region, adding that her motherly role and contributions to community development would be greatly missed.

According to the burial arrangement released by the family, Late Mrs. Florence Okpara, who passed on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the age of 56, will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 20, 2026, following a funeral service at Late Chief Okpara George’s Compound in Oshika Community.
Amb. Emeni Ibe prayed God to grant the bereaved family the strength and comfort to bear the irreparable loss and also prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul.
He further urged the family to remain united and steadfast during this difficult period, assuring them of the support and solidarity of the Orashi National Congress.
