
The President General of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Ambassador Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has commended the Executive Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Hon. Solomon Abuba Ochoma, for his inclusive leadership style and for embarking on numerous people-oriented projects and programmes across the LGA.
In a statement issued on July 23, 2026, Amb. Ibe said the people of Orashi land are pleased with the visible developments taking place under Hon. Ochoma’s administration.
The ONC President General noted that the Council Boss has demonstrated commitment to the welfare of residents through infrastructure, health, education, and empowerment initiatives.
“Our people are happy to see people oriented infrastructure being done by the Executive Chairman of Ahoada East,” Amb. Ibe stated.
“We commend the projects and encourage him to do more, especially the ones that will mitigate flooding in our area following NiMet predictions.”
Some of the projects and programmes undertaken by the Ahoada East administration include:
– Construction of a befitting Chairman’s Lodge
– Construction of a Central Corps Members’ Lodge
– Construction of Doctors’ and Health Workers’ Quarters
– Distribution of Desks and Exercise Books to public schools in the LGA
– Free Medical Outreach across all communities in the LGA
– Regular Payment of Students’ Bursaries
– Agricultural Empowerment for farmers in the LGA, among others.
Amb. Ibe described the interventions as a “welcome development and very much commendable,” adding that they reflect responsive governance that directly impacts the lives of citizens.
The ONC leader urged the Council Chairman to prioritize flood control and disaster preparedness measures in line with recent predictions by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, to protect vulnerable communities in Ahoada East.
He reaffirmed ONC’s support for leaders who are delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people of Orashi land.
