Amb. Emeni Ibe Hails Governor Fubara’s Governance Strides

 

The President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Ambassador Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has lauded the performance of the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, describing his administration as people-focused and result-oriented.

 

In a statement on behalf of the notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Amb. Ibe commended Governor Fubara for investments across key sectors, particularly in workers’ welfare, civil service reforms, and infrastructure development.

Amb. Ibe noted that the Fubara-led administration has prioritized the well-being of civil servants and pensioners in the state.

 

“The Administration of His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara is making more effective investments in workers’ welfare, including a minimum wage above the national benchmark, prompt payment of salaries, pensions, gratuities and bonuses, and regular staff promotions,” he stated.

According to him, the timely payment of entitlements and improved welfare packages have boosted morale in the public service and restored confidence in government.

The ONC President General also applauded the ongoing remodeling of the State Secretariat into a modern, technology-driven workplace.

He said the project will ease governance bottlenecks, improve record-keeping, and enhance the efficiency and productivity of the state workforce.

“This is a step in the right direction. A modern secretariat will not only provide a conducive working environment but will also position Rivers civil servants to deliver services that meet 21st-century standards,” Amb. Ibe added.

Amb. Ibe expressed the support of the Orashi people for the Governor’s development agenda, saying the administration’s policies align with the aspirations of communities in the Niger Delta.

“At ONC we are comfortable with the State Government completely. We therefore, pass a vote of confidence on the Government of Sir Siminalayi Fubara,” he declared.

He urged the Governor to sustain the tempo of development and to continue carrying all sections of the state along in his inclusive governance approach.

The ONC reaffirmed its commitment to partner with the state government on peace-building, youth empowerment, and community development initiatives across Orashi land and Rivers State.
