The President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Ambassador Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has made a passionate appeal to security agencies to urgently rise to the challenge of insecurity following the gruesome murder of Mr. Kingsley in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, ONELGA, Rivers State.
Mr. Kingsley was allegedly lured out to his pig farm through a mysterious telephone call and killed by his abductors, even after his grieving family paid a ₦7 million ransom.
Describing the incident as an alarming wake-up call for ONELGA, Amb. Ibe condemned the killing and demanded immediate action from all security outfits in the area.
“We in the Orashi National Congress urgently appeal to the Nigerian Police Force, OSPAC, local Hunters, and all allied security operatives in Omoku to immediately join forces, rise to their solemn duty, and protect the lives and properties of the citizens who rely on them,” he said.
The ONC President General also appealed to the Executive Chairman of ONELGA to take decisive steps to address the rising tide of violence.
“Please remember your solemn commitments to the safety of your people. We beg you to actively engage, mobilize, and hold accountable all security outfits assigned to ONELGA to curb this rising violence and bring justice to affected families,” Amb. Ibe urged.
*HOW SECURITY AGENCIES CAN TRACK THE KILLERS*
To aid law enforcement, ONC provided a technical guide on how modern intelligence tools can be deployed to track the perpetrators:
– *Obtaining Call Detail Records (CDR) via Court Order*: Investigators can secure an ex-parte court order instructing network providers — MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile — to release the CDR of the victim’s phone. This will reveal the exact number that called Mr. Kingsley and the numbers used during ransom negotiations.
– *NIN-SIM Database Matching*: Under NCC mandates, every active SIM is linked to a National Identification Number, NIN. Once the suspect’s number or IMEI is extracted from the CDR, law enforcement can query the NCC database to reveal the registered name, address, and biometric data.
– *Cell Site Location & Triangulation*: Mobile phones log onto nearby Base Transceiver Stations. By analyzing Cell ID data from telecom providers, analysts can trace the exact movement and location of the caller’s phone when the call was placed.
– *Tracking Financial Trails*: If any part of the ₦7 million ransom was transferred digitally via bank transfer, fintech apps, or POS, NIBSS and CBN anti-money laundering tools can trace the receiving accounts and identify the account holder’s BVN.
Amb. Ibe insisted that the perpetrators left a digital paper trail the moment they made the call and collected the ransom.
“Justice for Mr. Kingsley is non-negotiable. We urge the Rivers State Government, ONELGA Local Government, Police Authorities, OSPAC, and community intelligence networks to deploy these forensic tools immediately, apprehend the culprits, and demonstrate that Omoku will not be a safe haven for criminals,” he said.
The ONC also commiserated with the family of the deceased and prayed for strength for them in this difficult time, while calling on residents to provide useful information to security agencies.
