The President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has congratulated the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Kestin Pondi, FNSE, and the Delta State Commissioner for Power and Energy, Engr. Michael Anoka, FNSE, on the successful completion of their Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D, defence at the University of Benin, UNIBEN.
In a statement, Amb. Ibe joined other well-meaning individuals and leaders across the Niger Delta to celebrate the academic feat, describing it as a demonstration of commitment to lifelong learning and intellectual development.
Pondi and Anoka, both of the Department of Public Administration, UNIBEN, commenced their doctoral programmes several years ago.
They successfully defended their theses after undergoing rigorous departmental and faculty-level examinations. Following the defence, the internal and external examiners certified both scholars as having satisfied all academic requirements for the award of Ph.D degrees in Public Administration.
The ONC President General noted that the achievement is remarkable given the demanding professional responsibilities of the two Niger Delta leaders.
“This academic milestone coming against the backdrop of their professional engagements underscores their commitment to continuous learning and academic excellence,” Amb. Ibe said.
“It demonstrates that professional responsibilities and advanced education can be pursued concurrently.”
High Chief Pondi heads Tantita Security Services, a major player in the protection of oil and gas assets in the Niger Delta, while Engr. Anoka serves as a member of the Delta State Executive Council overseeing the power and energy sector.
Amb. Ibe said the successful defence by both men serves as encouragement to younger professionals and public servants to pursue further education irrespective of their positions.
“Their latest academic feat adds another milestone to their respective careers and highlights the value of lifelong learning irrespective of age, position or professional responsibility,” he stated.
The ONC leader prayed that the knowledge gained would further equip them to deliver greater service to the people of the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
He congratulated High Chief Pondi and Commissioner Anoka, and wished them success as they await formal conferment of their degrees.
