The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Ikeja and across Lagos State on the occasion of Eid Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Comrade Dauda urged Muslims to use the celebration as an opportunity to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings of peace, love, compassion, humility and peaceful coexistence.
He also called on residents to continue to promote unity, tolerance and mutual respect, stressing that peaceful coexistence remains essential to the development of Ikeja and Lagos State.
The Council Chairman wished Muslim faithful a joyous and spiritually rewarding Eid Maulud celebration, praying for continued peace, prosperity and progress in the community.
