Ikeja & JCI Offer Free Medical Care To Hundreds Of Residents 

Ikeja Local Government, in partnership with Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ikeja, has provided free medical services to hundreds of residents in Ikeja through the “Commit to Quality Health 2.0” Mega Medical Outreach.
The outreach, held at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat offered residents free medical consultations, health education, wellness checks, screening and medications.
Beneficiaries were screened for malaria, typhoid, blood pressure, blood sugar, HIV and Hepatitis B, among other health conditions. Doctors and other medical personnel were also available for consultations and treatment.
The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Dauda, said the initiative reflects his administration’s commitment to making healthcare more accessible and improving the wellbeing of residents.
He urged residents to prioritise preventive healthcare, go for regular medical checks and take professional medical advice seriously, stressing that early detection can help prevent serious health challenges.
The President of JCI Ikeja, JCIN Amb. Olubunmi Grace Fadare, said the annual initiative was designed to help residents know their health status, detect health concerns early and access professional care without financial barriers.
She appreciated Ikeja Local Government, medical personnel, volunteers and partners for supporting the outreach.
The initiative reaffirmed the commitment of both organisations to promoting preventive healthcare, health awareness and a healthier Ikeja community.
