Eid-El-Maulud: Senator Yayi Urges Muslims To Emulate Prophet Muhammad’s Teachings Of Love & Tolerance

The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District and APC Governorship candidate for Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

Senator Yayi, who is also Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, called on Muslims and Nigerians of all faiths to emulate the life and teachings of the Prophet in love, humility, peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance.

In his Eid-el-Maulud message on Sunday, the lawmaker said imbibing the Prophet’s teachings would help address many of the nation’s challenges.

“I urge all Muslims and indeed other Nigerians to emulate the life and imbibe the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad in the area of love, humility, peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance,” Senator Yayi stated.

He added that most of the societal challenges facing the country would be greatly minimized if adherents of Islam and other Nigerians follow the teachings and precepts of Prophet Muhammad.

“In his lifetime, Prophet Muhammad set critical criteria and precepts in all areas of life in his teachings and personal life. The world will be a better place for all if all can emulate the Holy Prophet’s examples of piousness, love, humility, tolerance and sacrifice,” he said.

Senator Yayi urged Muslims to use the celebration to pray for peace and security in Nigeria, especially as the country approaches another season of electoral campaigns and elections.

He stressed that the nation’s challenges require collective effort, including prayers and supplication to Almighty Allah for divine intervention.

“Our national challenges require all hands to be on deck, including supplication to Almighty Allah for divine intervention to crown our sowing and sacrifices with great harvest,” he said.

The Senator wished all Muslims in Ogun West, Ogun State and across Nigeria a peaceful and reflective Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
