As Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Buruj Sports Academy has called on Nigerians, corporate organizations, and football lovers to support its growing vision of building a world-class sports facility that will help transform the future of grassroots football in Nigeria.
The academy used the festive occasion to reflect on sacrifice, faith, perseverance, and the importance of investing in young talents who represent the future of the nation.
Founder of Buruj Sports Academy, Dr. Waheed Salaudeen, expressed gratitude to God for the steady growth of the academy while revealing that plans are ongoing for the development of a major football and sports complex following the recent acquisition of six acres of land in Ikorodu, Lagos.
“First of all, we thank Almighty God because it has been God all the way,” Dr. Salaudeen stated. “From producing national team players to helping young talents secure opportunities abroad, we have seen the hand of God in this journey.”
Buruj Sports Academy has recently gained attention for producing players who have represented Nigeria at youth international competitions and securing football opportunities for several youngsters in Europe, including Spain and Lithuania.
The academy believes the next major step is the construction of a modern sporting facility capable of nurturing more talents and creating a professional environment for football development.
“This dream is bigger than Buruj Sports Academy alone,” Dr. Salaudeen added. “We are appealing to private individuals, corporate organizations, investors, and well-meaning Nigerians to support this vision. Together, we can build a facility that will not only help young footballers but also contribute to sports development and youth empowerment in Nigeria.”
According to the academy, the proposed facility will include a standard football pitch, training ground, mini stadium, hostel accommodation, gymnasium, classrooms, and other developmental structures aimed at combining football with education.
As part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the academy also urged young players to remain disciplined, focused, and prayerful in pursuit of their dreams.
“Success requires sacrifice, patience, and commitment. Eid-el-Kabir reminds us that every great achievement comes with faith and hard work,” the academy noted.
