Ambassador Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC), has commended the Chief of Staff to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Aradel Holdings, Moji Iyamabo, for her insightful contribution at the University of Lagos Investment Society Annual Colloquium 2026.
Moji Iyamabo participated in Panel Session Two, themed: “Powering a Resilient Future: Energy Security, Transition Pathways, and Nigeria’s Industrial Ambition,” where she shared perspectives on the urgent need to strengthen Nigeria’s energy sector.
Speaking on the development, Ambassador Ibe described Iyamabo’s intervention as timely, practical and reflective of the realities facing Nigeria’s gas, power and electricity distribution value chains.
He noted that her emphasis on the interconnectedness of the gas, power and distribution sectors underscores the need for a coordinated approach to achieving affordable, reliable and sustainable energy for Nigerians.

According to Ambassador Ibe, Nigeria requires consistent policies across the entire energy value chain, market-reflective tariffs and investments that match the enormous scale of the nation’s energy needs.
He further applauded Iyamabo’s call for a shift towards decentralised energy solutions, stressing that such an approach will expand access to communities and customers who remain outside the national grid.
“Her message is a clear reminder that Nigeria’s industrial ambition can only be achieved when energy policies, investments and infrastructure work together. Decentralised solutions will be critical in reaching underserved communities and powering inclusive development,” Ambassador Ibe stated.
The ONC President General urged government, industry stakeholders and development partners to support policies and investments that will unlock Nigeria’s vast gas potential, strengthen power generation and distribution, and promote energy security across the country.

Ambassador Ibe reaffirmed the commitment of the Orashi National Congress to supporting progressive initiatives and leadership that advance industrialisation, energy access and sustainable development in the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
