Your Future Is In Your Hands! – Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe Charges Youths

The President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, who doubles as the National President of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, has charged youths to be change agents armed with the understanding that their future is in their hands.

Cisca News reports that Ambassador Ibe gave the charge during the inauguration ceremony of the Abua/Odual Youth Leaders Grand Council Worldwide, held on 5th September, 2025, at Ascent Hotel, Abua Central, Rivers State.

In his speech, Amb. Ibe thanked the organizers of the event and congratulated all the executive members of the Abua/Odual Youth Leaders Grand Council, urging them to remain good ambassadors of the region.

He said, “My message to the brilliant, dynamic, and powerful youths of Abua Odual Local Government Area under the leadership of Abua Odual Youth Leaders Grand Council Worldwide, is that of hope. I clearly understand that all the six zones are represented and I urge you to work with existing Youth Leadership including security agencies”.

“I see your energy, your dreams, and the incredible potential that lies within each and every one of you. You are not just the leaders of tomorrow; you are the changemakers of today.”

“As you navigate your path, remember these keys to unlocking your greatness:

STAY CURIOUS: Don’t stop asking “why?” and “how?” The world is full of knowledge waiting for you to discover it. Embrace learning, both in and out of the classroom. Your curiosity is your compass.

BUILD EACH OTHER UP: Surround yourself with friends who challenge you to be better and who support your dreams. Strong, positive relationships are your foundation. Together, you are unstoppable, just as the recent peaceful protest by Youths of Abua Odual against an Oil Company operating in your area (Ingentia Energies Limited).

SET YOUR GOALS: Dream big, but also plan smart. Break your big dreams down into small, achievable steps. Every small victory is progress on the road to a huge success by working with Local  authorities.

EMBRACE YOUR STUMBLES: You will face setbacks. Everyone does. But never see it as failure; see it as a lesson. Each challenge is a stepping stone, making you wiser and more resilient for the next try.

LEAD WITH EMPATHY: In a diverse and vibrant community like ours, understanding and compassion are superpowers. Seek to understand others’ perspectives. A kinder LGA starts with you.

PRIORITIZE YOUR WELL-BEING: Your mind and body are your most important assets. Take care of them. Eat well, find time to rest, and protect your peace. You cannot pour from an empty cup.

BE RESILIENT: Like the strong roots of our trees, learn to bend without breaking. Life will have storms, but your ability to bounce back will define your story.

STAY INFORMED & CRITICAL: In a world of so much information, learn to question what you see and hear. Seek truth from credible sources. Don’t just follow the crowd; think for yourself, support yourself and the leadership of this council under the guidance Comr. Adokiye Mujiton O. the Convener who have the experience as a Youth Leader, served as former national president Rivers State Youth Federation leader Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Leaders and Deputy  President Orashi National Congress and now confirmed as Deputy State Coordinator Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu 2027

PURSUE YOUR PASSION: What sets your soul on fire? Whether it’s tech, art, business, or sports, chase it relentlessly. Your passion is your purpose—don’t ignore it.

GIVE BACK TO THE LGA: Remember your roots. Lend a hand, volunteer your time, and contribute to making our community even greater. Your success is sweeter when it lifts others up.”

“The future of the LGA is bright because it is in your hands. Keep striving, keep supporting one another, and keep shining your light. I believe in you all the greatest upon greatest youth of Abua Odual” Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP) concluded.
