The Managing Director and Country Chair of TotalEnergies E&P Nigeria Limited, Mr. Matthieu Bouyer, has paid a working visit to the Ubeta Gas Pipeline Project site to inspect ongoing welding and construction activities along the Right-of-Way (ROW).
The Ubeta Gas Pipeline, a strategic component of the Ubeta Main Development Project under OML 58, is expected to significantly boost gas supply to the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) plant and the domestic gas market, in line with Nigeria’s energy transition agenda.

Reacting to the development, the Orashi National Congress (ONC) commended the visit, describing it as a step that will foster peace and development in the Orashi region. The President General of ONC, Ambassador Emeni Ibe, noted that the inspection signals TotalEnergies’ strong commitment to driving industrial growth and community development.

“The Orashi region is open for more developmental initiatives and projects that will not only enhance energy security but also improve the socio-economic well-being of our people,” Ambassador Ibe stated.

The Ubeta project is widely regarded as a flagship investment that will strengthen Nigeria’s gas infrastructure, stimulate industrialization, and create opportunities for host communities.
