Stick To The Principles Of Democracy – High Chief Hamilton Ezeonu Charges As He Felicitates With Nigerians On Democracy Day

On the occasion of Nigeria’s Democracy Day celebration, High Chief Hamilton Ezeonu (Ikemba Nnobi) has extended warm felicitations to all Nigerians while charging them to stick to the principles of democracy. 
 
In a statement made available on 12th June, High Chief Ezeonu emphasized the importance of adhering to the fundamental principles of democracy.
According to him, “Democracy is not just about elections; it is about the rule of law, the protection of individual rights, and the accountability of leaders to the people. It is about creating an environment where citizens can live freely, express their opinions without fear, and participate actively in the decision-making processes that affect their lives”.
The billionaire philanthropist commended President Bola Tinubu’s emphasis on the need for all stakeholders to work together to strengthen democratic institutions, ensure transparency, and promote good governance.
“As we move forward, it is crucial for all stakeholders – government, citizens, and international partners – to work together to strengthen our democratic institutions, ensure transparency, and promote good governance,” he stated.
High Chief Hamilton Ezeonu (Ikemba Nnobi) urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and committed to the ideals of democracy.
 “Let us continue to demand accountability from our leaders, respect the rule of law, and foster a culture of tolerance and inclusivity. Our collective efforts will determine the kind of democracy we want to build for future generations,” he added.
As the nation celebrates this momentous occasion, High Chief Ezeonu wished all Nigerians a joyous Democracy Day celebration.
