
The Permanent Chairman of the Southern Nigerian Traditional Rulers Council (SNTRC), Arole Oodua Olofin Adimula and the Natural Head of the Oduduwa race worldwide, the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, has celebrated His Royal Majesty, Oba (Amb.) Adesoji Kehinde Oladepo JP, Akinrinsa II, the Salu of Edunabon and Acting Chairman, Ife North Chieftaincy Committee, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a distinguished custodian of Yoruba culture and tradition.
According to a statement on Monday evening signed by the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace, Otunba Moses Olafare, said the Ooni who is also the Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN), the Ooni commended Oba Oladepo’s exemplary leadership, commitment to peace, and dedication to the preservation of Yoruba heritage, noting his significant contributions to the growth and development of his community and the traditional institution.
The Ooni described the Salu of Edunabon as a respected royal father whose reign has been characterised by wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.
According to the Ooni, Oba Adesoji Kehinde Oladepo’s role as a custodian of culture goes beyond the preservation of customs and traditions, as he has also continued to promote unity, harmony, and sustainable development within Edunabon and the wider Ife North community.
“His Royal Majesty, Oba Adesoji Kehinde Oladepo, remains a shining example of the values embedded in the Yoruba traditional institution. His dedication to promoting our culture, maintaining peace, and serving humanity reflects the true essence of royal leadership,” the Ooni stated.
The Ooni further acknowledged the monarch’s contributions as Acting Chairman of the Ife North Chieftaincy Committee, expressing confidence in his ability to continue bringing his wealth of experience and wisdom to the advancement of traditional administration.
While celebrating the monarch on his birthday, the Ooni prayed for his continued good health, longevity, wisdom, and greater accomplishments as he continues to serve his people and uphold the dignity of Yoruba tradition.
