The President General of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC) and National President of the Southern Youths Foundation (SYF), Ambassador Emeni Ibe, (JP AP), has congratulated Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on his appointment as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Rivers State Coordinator and Collation Officer for the party’s presidential primary election scheduled for 23rd May, 2026.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Orashi National Congress and the Southern Youths Foundation, Ambassador Ibe described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Governor Fubara’s leadership capacity, political experience, and commitment to democratic values.
According to him, the decision of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) to entrust the governor with such a strategic responsibility demonstrates the confidence the party leadership has in his integrity, organizational ability, and grassroots acceptance across Rivers State.
“On behalf of the Orashi National Congress and the Southern Youths Foundation of Nigeria, I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on his appointment as Rivers State Coordinator and Collation Officer for the APC Presidential Primary Election. He noted that Governor Fubara has continued to distinguish himself through purposeful leadership, commitment to peace, and dedication to the development of Rivers State, adding that the latest appointment further underscores his importance within the APC family.
The ONC President General expressed confidence that the governor would discharge the responsibility with fairness, transparency, and professionalism, ensuring a credible and successful primary election process in Rivers State.
Ambassador Ibe further commended the APC National Working Committee for what he described as a thoughtful and strategic appointment capable of strengthening confidence in the party’s internal democratic process.
