Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, is set to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for a second term in office, citing their policies, projects, programmes, and interventions that have positively impacted the nation, South-South, and Rivers State in particular.
The ONC was said to have unanimously adopted a resolution to endorse the bid for their second term in office, citing landmark reforms and achievements recorded in their first term and pledging to mobilise resources and the grassroots to ensure re-election in 2027.
According to the President General, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, the ONC wants to use the endorsement programme to highlight the achievements recorded, which warrant them being given the chance for second tenure in order to continue and complete most laudable projects already initiated.
Amb Ibe said, “Residents and visitors to our beloved Rivers State can testify to seeing the great results achieved under Gov Fubara’s Administration. Different areas of our state have been turned into construction sites because of our Governor’s genuine commitment to the welfare of our people and the development of the state”.
“We are therefore, standing strong behind the reelection of Sir Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy, Prof Ngozi Odu. The reward for good work is more work. They have performed creditably well and deserve to re-elected for the good works to continue.”
The ONC hereby reaffirm our resolve to support the second term of Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. The ONC particularly lauds the establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has expanded access to higher education for millions of Nigerian youths. This initiative has provided unprecedented opportunities for students from disadvantaged backgrounds especially in our region to pursue their academic dreams without financial barriers.”
“We also commend the unification of exchange rates, which has boosted transparency and attracted foreign investment inflows, stabilising the economy and restoring investor confidence. Our endorsement of Mr. President is just to highlight the achievements recorded so far with the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
