The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon Segun Odunmbaku, has celebrated the impact of women in the society on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
In his goodwill message marking the day, Hon Odunmbaku said, “As we join the global community to celebrate *International Women’s Day 2026*, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt appreciation to the remarkable women of Ojodu LCDA”.

“This year’s theme, *“Give to Gain,”* reminds us that through generosity, collaboration and mutual support, we can advance the cause of gender equality and build a society where women and girls can thrive without limitations.”

“Across Ojodu LCDA, women continue to distinguish themselves in education, governance, business and public service. We are proud of shining examples such as Mrs. Adeola Olufunke Akinsulure of Omole Senior Grammar School, whose global recognition as one of the 2026 Top 10 World Teachers Award recipients has brought honour to our community. We also celebrate leaders like Alhaja Stella Olusola Kokumo, who has risen in politics to become the APC Chairman in Ikeja LGA and our accomplished Council Manager, Engr. Bunmi Akintoye, whose professional achievements continue to inspire many in public service.”

“As an administration, we remain committed to promoting girl-child education, vocational training and empowerment programmes in line with our *HEYSRELOADED AGENDA* that will enable women and girls in *Ojodu LCDA* to reach their full potential.”

“To every woman and girl in Ojodu LCDA, I celebrate you today and always. Happy International Women’s Day!” Hon Odunmbaku concluded.
