A memorial get-together is scheduled to hold later today, 28th December 2025, in loving memory of Late His Royal Highness, Chief N. O. Ibe, the Nyeso Eze Ekpeye Logbo II of Ekpeye Land. The gathering is expected to bring together family members to honour the life and enduring legacy of the revered Ekpeye leader.

The late HRH Chief N. O. Ibe is fondly remembered for his bravery, confidence, economic strength, and exceptional creative leadership, qualities that distinguished him during his lifetime. He once served as Chairman of the Ekpeye Council of Chiefs and remains the only recognized Prime Minister of Ekpeye during the reign of the late Eze Robinson O. Robinson, a position that underscored his influence and respect within Ekpeye land.

He was also among the certified government contractors in the Ekpeye ethnic nation, contributing meaningfully to development and economic progress. His leadership and entrepreneurial vision left an indelible mark on the community and set a standard for responsible service.

Speaking ahead of the memorial, Amb. Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC), described his late father as a man of purpose who deliberately laid a solid foundation for his children and people.

“He showed us the path to follow and built the platform we stand on today. He gave us hope, designed our future to a great extent, and committed the rest to God. If there were another world, I would still choose him as my father,” he said.

The memorial event is expected to be a moment of reflection, prayers, and celebration of a fulfilled life devoted to leadership, service, and legacy-building. Late HRH Chief N. O. Ibe’s memory continues to stand as a pillar of inspiration within Ekpeye land and beyond.
