
More than 102 political, youth, student, and civil society groups have thrown their weights behind Chief Barry Balera Mwara, promising aggressive grassroots mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC), in order to ensure landslide victory in the Rivers South East Senatorial District.
The groups, which had earlier backed his aspiration, said that it is time for an energetic and youthful person to represent the good people of Rivers South East Senatorial District.
The groups that assured their unalloyed support for Chief Mwara included the Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shettima, the Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shettima South East Senatorial District, Rivers South East Students Forum, Rivers South East Youth Forum, Ogoni Youth Movement, and the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, alongside several other support groups and stakeholders across the district.
Speaking on behalf of the groups, Amb. Emeni Ibe, National President of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and State Coordinator of the Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shettima in Rivers State, assured Chief Barry Balera Mwara that they are ready to go all out to ensure he emerges victorious.
He said, “It is time for youthful representation at the National Assembly. It is time for credibility, competence and quality representation at the National Assembly”.
“We are out to aggressively mobilise for Chief Mwara’s victory at the polls. Mwara is not just young, he is a visionary, and people-oriented leader. He possesses the needed experience and capacity needed to attract development to the good people of Rivers South East Senatorial District.”
At the grassroots, among youths, women, and stakeholders, Mwara enjoys massive support and so massive mobilisation is easy. We therefore, call on our people to rally behind Mwara because his victory will guarantee effective representation, inclusive leadership, and sustainable development for the district and Rivers State at large.”
