Lagos Health District IV Holds Second Onboarding Exercise For Workers

Lagos State Health District IV recently held its year 2025 onboarding Exercise, second edition, tagged: “Towards Understanding Public Service Ethics and Ethos”, at the Oluremi Tinubu Hall, Surulere Local Government Area, Surulere.

In his address at the event, the Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Health District IV, Dr. Abimbola Bowale, said the exercise aims to expose the health workers to civil ethics, moral principles and standards of conduct that guide civil servants in their duties.

Dr. Bowale, represented by the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Seriki Titilola, emphasised the need for the participants to imbibe honesty, integrity, accountability and loyalty to the public interest rather than private gain, especially since character is the overall guiding principle in the service.

According to him, the exercise is designed to help the health workers to build public trust, prevent misconduct, guide themselves appropriately and effectively support the government in promoting good governance across the State.

While educating the participants on important civil service code and ethics, Dr. Bowale charged them to embrace professional conduct, promote principles like accountability, honesty and impartiality to foster public trust and ensure effective governance. He urged them to perform their duties diligently, treat people fairly, avoid conflicts of interest and serve the public with courtesy and respect.

The health workers were also guided on how to fill out the Lagos State Government Staff Performance Appraisal and Development (SPADEV) Report at different Grade Levels.
