Ikeja LG Holds Quarterly Workers Interactive Forum On Revenue Generation

Ikeja Local Government, in collaboration with the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ikeja Local Government Branch, will on Monday, September 7, 2026, hold its Quarterly Workers Interactive Forum.
The forum, which will take place at the Ikeja Local Government Hall by 10:00 a.m, is themed “Enhance Better Revenue Generation”.
The interactive session is designed to provide a platform for the council’s executive and management to engage workers on strategies for improving internally generated revenue, strengthening efficiency and promoting sustainable development at the grassroots.
The forum will also provide an opportunity for staff members to share ideas, identify challenges affecting revenue mobilisation and proffer practical solutions towards enhancing the council’s revenue base.
The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), is expected to lead the engagement, while the Council Manager, Mrs. Odubeko Julianna Taiwo (JP), will serve as Chief Host.
The NULGE Chairman, Ikeja Local Government Branch, Comrade Emiabata Michael Ibikunle, will also participate in the forum alongside other members of the council’s executive and management.
The administration of Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda has continued to emphasise workers’ participation, accountability and improved service delivery as essential components of effective grassroots governance.
The Quarterly Workers Interactive Forum is therefore, expected to deepen collaboration between the council management and its workforce while fostering innovative approaches to revenue generation and overall institutional growth.
