The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State and the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, today exercised his civic duty by casting his vote at his polling unit on Budland Street, Akiode, during the ongoing Local Government elections in Lagos State.
Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, the Council Chairman expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and orderly conduct of the election process.
Addressing members of the press after voting, Hon. Odunmbaku commended the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) and the electoral officials for their professionalism and dedication, which he said had contributed immensely to the smooth flow of the exercise.
“I want to commend the officials and ad-hoc staff of LASIEC for the seamless coordination of today’s election. Their professionalism has made the process efficient and peaceful,” he said.
“I encourage all residents to come out and vote without fear or tension. Democracy only works when people participate actively. Your vote today is your voice for the future of Ojodu,” he emphasized.
Hon. Odunmbaku also extended his appreciation to the leadership of the APC in Lagos State, led by Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, for fostering unity within the party, which he described as a critical ingredient for the party’s continued success.
He further thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the synergy between the State Government’s THEMES+ Agenda and Ojodu LCDA’s HEYS Agenda — a collaboration he said has yielded tangible improvements in infrastructure, youth empowerment, quality education and healthcare for the residents of Ojodu LCDA.
