Guinness Nigeria’s “Open For More” consumer promotion has reached a significant milestone, with 856 Nigerians emerging as winners across eight consecutive weekly draws, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to rewarding consumer loyalty with life-changing value.
Among the beneficiaries is Taiwo Adebola, a resident of Okokomaiko, whose ₦1 million win has already begun to reshape the trajectory of his business. The unexpected windfall provided him with the capital injection needed to strengthen his enterprise and pursue initiatives he had long deferred – a testament to the tangible impact the promotion is having on everyday Nigerians.
Structured as a weekly live draw held every Friday at 3 p.m. on Guinness Nigeria’s Instagram page, the promotion rewards 107 consumers each round. Of these, seven walk away with ₦1 million apiece, while the remaining 100 each receive ₦100,000. Over the course of eight draws, this has translated into 800 winners of ₦100,000 and 56 new ₦1 million winners, bringing the cumulative total to 856.
Speaking on the promotion’s progress, Mayor Esiaba, Category Head of Beer at Guinness Nigeria, said: “We have seen a strong response to Open For More since the promotion began, and it has been great to see consumers from different parts of the country getting the opportunity to win. We have completed the first eight draws, but there are still many more opportunities to participate and win. We are looking forward to seeing more consumers become part of the story.”

The promotion has also produced moments of shared celebration. Uche Valentine Opara secured a ₦100,000 prize, only to later discover that his brother had entered independently and won as well – an outcome he describes as almost too fortuitous to believe, yet entirely true, and a fitting illustration of the promotion’s unpredictable appeal.
All weekly draws are conducted under the oversight of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC). The most recent draw was observed by FCCPC representatives Odion Oyelowo, Senior Standards Officer, and Omolola Allison, Assistant Chief Scientific Officer, underscoring the transparency of the selection process. The draw also doubles as a recurring digital event, with audiences tuning in live each Friday to watch a fresh set of 107 names announced.
With eight draws completed, Guinness Open For More remains far from over. Thousands of additional ₦1 million and ₦100,000 cash prizes are still available, alongside a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado as the grand prize, bringing the total value of cash and prizes still up for grabs to more than ₦400 million.
To participate, consumers must purchase a specially marked bottle of Guinness Foreign Extra Stout or Guinness Smooth and locate the unique code beneath the crown cork or can lid, then enter it on the campaign’s designated platform for a chance to be selected in an upcoming draw.
The next live draw takes place this Friday at 3 p.m. on Guinness Nigeria’s Instagram page.
