UWAJUMAOGU OGUJIOFOR
When God called Moses to go and deliver Israel from the stranglehold of Pharaoh and Egyptian taskmasters, he encountered difficulties even among the Israelites as many did not believe him. Some also threatened to kill him but in the end, he emerged victorious by taking the Israelites out of centuries of enslavement and servitude in Egypt.
The interesting climax was the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea and the death of Egyptians including Pharaoh – “who say God no dey?” Without doubt: “Who Jah bless no man curse,” according to the late legendary reggae musician, Bob Marley.
The foregoing, sums up the story of Mazi Chima Matthew Amadi – the present-day Moses of Imo State, whom the Lord God Almighty has anointed, blessed and chosen to liberate Imo from the claws of glaring misgovernance, and poor management of resources – he is unstoppable.
Dr Chima Amadi has a clear vision and not pretending about his intention – in fact, it is fair to say that Dr Chima Amadi means business and like the biblical Moses, he is fully prepared to take Imo to the Promised Land after many years of stagnation and stunted development.
As the Governor of Imo State, Uzodimma must be mentioned in discussions – for good or bad because he is a public servant and not an emperor but the pretentious sycophant called Ogubundu is making it seem as if it is a taboo to criticize the governor – this is democracy for crying out loud.
Meanwhile, the Governor is human and not perfect. He has his shortcomings just like any other mortal. He makes mistakes and through criticisms he will make amends and deliver more dividends of democracy to Imo people as he has about two more years to stay in office.
The noisy and dirty Ogubundu is valueless and garrulous even as he continues to embarrass the Governor with his overzealous pretentiousness and reprehensible hypocrisy.
Like Judas, he pretends to love Governor
Uzodimma so much but it is the same Ogubundu that equally pretended to love Ihedioha once upon a time and tried his utmost to vilify Uzodimma for no just reason(s) but as soon as the pendulum swung against Ihedioha, he quickly changed like a hopeless chameleon he is.
This is the Ogubundu that called Uzodimma, a “Supreme Court Governor,” as he indulged in unnecessary grandstanding for Ihedioha but today the same Ogubundu is pretending to love Uzodimma more than Chioma Uzodimma – wonders will never cease in Nigeria.
One thing certain is that Ogubundu cannot be trusted, he plays to the gallery as a fair-weather friend – who is ready to sell his birthright for a plate of porridge. He is empty, in fact, poor and has a cheap price tag – When I say this, I am not mincing words.
Ogubundu should tell Imo people where he bought the “MA” he parades? Which tertiary institution awarded it and when?
It was Ogubundu Nwadike that overhyped and overpraised Ihedioha causing his political downfall in the process and the same thing he is experimenting with Gov. Uzodimma – making it very difficult for him to have an “imposed successor.”
Such sycophantic adulation like the Jews did for Herod, misleads the Governor and makes him think that all is well but it is not so.
I can tell you for free that many of the former appointees of Uzodimma, whom he used as cannon fodder to win election, are not happy with the way he used and dumped them without paying severance benefits and refusing to reappoint many of them. He first shortchanged them in the payment of salary and the rest is history but 2027 will be a different ball game because the rigging machinery Must fail
Ogubundu cannot stop Imo people from criticizing the Governor – it is not possible and the more he tries to act that way, he is causing the Governor more embarrassment because there are many areas where the Governor has failed and some concerned Imo people might be forced to start hammering on those areas till 2027 – make no mistake! This is a promise.
The Mazi Organization is focused, cannot be intimidated, distracted or cowered.
I wonder why people like Ogubundu, are praising Governor Uzodimma to high heaven because of some roads he reconstructed with asphalt and bitumen that will not stand the test of time while serious leaders like Dave Umahi, constructed roads in Ebonyi State with concrete slabs that can last for over fifty years – what is the noise for?
Ogubundu is old enough to have common sense but instead, he is continuously manifesting symptoms of stupidity and naivety. He should henceforth desist from stirring up a hornet’s nest because he will not withstand the barrage of constructive criticisms and tough responses that will follow.
I want to remind the unnecessarily overzealous Ogubundu that he is not the only appointee of the mediocre administration of Uzodimma and that the governor is not above criticism. Uzodimma is also not running for a third term hence Ogubundu should stop disturbing tired and robbed Imo people with his false claims.
It is obvious that Governor Uzodimma has recorded abysmal performance in Imo despite the famed covenant with God Almighty, the noise and other empty promises like shared prosperity that has turned into shared austerity, hunger, poverty and disillusionment in Imo State.
Imo people are angry and hungry under a government that shamelessly talks about shared prosperity but cares less about them to the extent of diverting and hoarding bags of rice, which came from the federal government as palliatives for the poor.
Did you know that the bags of rice, which were packed and hidden at the old State Secretariat by the Shared Austerity administration were later shared among appointees and other cronies of the government last December – Imo people are aware but chose to remain calm until the day of reckoning.
