The much-anticipated Control Post Interchange Flyover is now visibly erected and standing tall, with construction nearing completion. Earlier in the week, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, Ralph Nwosu, conducted an inspection visit to assess the progress of the project.
Commissioner Nwosu expressed satisfaction with the quality of work so far and charged the contractor to accelerate efforts to meet the project deadline. He reiterated the Imo State Government’s unwavering commitment to delivering life-changing infrastructure under the Government of #SharedProsperity.
The near-completion of the flyover has drawn commendations from residents and stakeholders alike, who praised the #PeoplesGovernor Hope Uzodimma for his visionary leadership and infrastructural drive:
Mrs. Chioma Anyanwu, a trader at Douglas Market but resident in World Bank area said, “This flyover is a miracle. Governor Hope has proven that he is truly committed to modernizing Imo. We are proud of him”.
Engr. Uche Nwoke, a civil engineer, remarked, “What we’re seeing at Control is world-class. Governor Uzodimma is raising the standard of road infrastructure in the South-East.”
Elder John Okoro, a community leader, added, “This project is a testament to the governor’s passion for Imo’s development. We thank him for putting Imo first.”
Onwuekwe Eze, a commercial driver, said, “Governor Hope is working. With this flyover, traffic will reduce and our daily hustle will be easier. May God bless him.”
Commissioner Nwosu appealed to road users to remain patient and continue using alternative routes, assuring that the flyover would soon be completed and opened for public use.
