Chief Primus Odili (Okosisi Aguleri) has donated 100 million Naira to support the construction of a modern library complex at Shanahan University, Trans Nkisi Layout, Onitsha.
The announcement was made on Saturday during the event “A Day with the Archbishop” organized by the Catholic Men Organization (CMO) of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha.
Chief Odili, who has consistently supported the Catholic community across Anambra State, made the donation only a few weeks after he presented a brand-new car to the Catholic Bishop of Aguleri. His latest contribution, he said, reflects his continued commitment to advancing Catholic education and promoting learning infrastructure within the Church.
The occasion, chaired by Chief Odili, brought together leading figures in the state and members of the Catholic community under the leadership of the CMO President, Chief Sir Evarist Uba (KSJI). His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, graced the gathering, which focused on faith-driven service, community development, and moral leadership.
In his remarks, Chief Odili noted that education remains one of the strongest pillars of social and spiritual transformation. He expressed hope that the new library would not only serve as an academic hub for Shanahan University students but also as a lasting contribution to the intellectual and moral formation of future leaders.

Archbishop Valerian Okeke commended Chief Odili’s generosity and long-standing support for Catholic institutions, describing the donation as a remarkable gesture of faith and service. He said the library project would leave a lasting legacy for generations to come and prayed for divine blessings on Chief Odili and all benefactors of Catholic education.
Among those present at the event were Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa(Ononenyi) National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA); Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor (Anukanu) former Anambra State Commissioner for Works and Hon. Emeka Asoanya (War Machine) former Transition Committee Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government Area, among others.
The ceremony ended with prayers of thanksgiving and renewed calls for more support toward Church-led educational development.
