Amb Emeni Ibe Hails Nigerian Army Over Raid Of Criminal Hideout In Forest Enclave 

Ambassador Emeni Ibe, JP AP, the President General Orashi National Congress, ONC, has hailed the Nigerian Army for raiding a suspected criminal hideout in a forest enclave at Awara Community Waterside in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area and along the Omoku–Ogbaku–Ndoni axis of Rivers State. 
According to the Army, the operation, conducted on July 23, 2026, led to the recovery of arms and ammunition. In a statement on Friday, the Army said the operation was part of its ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and restore peace across the region. It said the hideout was suspected to have been used by criminal elements as a base for planning kidnappings and launching attacks against security personnel and civilians.
During the operation, troops recovered one Lee-Enfield MK I rifle, one G3 rifle, 116 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition and 13 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. The Army said the operation remains ongoing, adding that troops are working to completely clear the area of criminal activities.
Reacting to the successful raid, the leadership of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, expressed joy and deep appreciation to the Nigerian Army for this achievement.
“The ONC welcomes the news of the successful raid of the criminal enclave with joy. This is a welcome development and very impressive to note.”
“We once again commend the Nigerian Army for the great job done. We are hoping to hear cheering news about more successful raids of criminal enclaves in our region.”
