The President General of the Orashi National Congress and National President of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, has hailed the Federal High Court in Abuja, which ordered the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to reinstate Ambassador Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo and other members of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
Delivering judgment, Justice Binta Nyako held that the CAC, as a regulatory agency, lacks the statutory powers to determine the tenure of leaders of an organisation or to constitute an Interim Management Committee for any registered association, according to the court’s decision. The judgment effectively restores the previous leadership structure of the NYCN pending any further legal proceedings.
Ambassador Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, National President of the Southern Youths Foundation of Nigeria (SYF) and President General of the Orashi National Congress (ONC), reacted to the judgment.
In the statement, Amb. Ibe hailed the Court Order that Restored Sukubo-Led Board of Trustees. He also congratulated Ambassador Sukubo Sara Igbe Sokubo and other members of the BOT of the NYCN for the victory.
