The President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, who doubles as the National President of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, has highly commended the troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), comprising Special Forces and troops of Sector 1, for successfully rescuing 360 abductees from a heavily fortified Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) enclave deep within the Mandara Mountains area of southern Borno State.
While hailing the troops, Amb Ibe said, “I wish to use this medium to warmly celebrate our gallant troops for successful operations and rescue of 360 abductees from a heavily fortified terrorist enclave”.
“They deserve their flowers for the operation considered one of the most significant hostage rescue operations conducted in the North East Theatre in recent times, which took weeks of painstaking intelligence preparation, covert reconnaissance, and operational planning.”
“It gladdens our hearts that the troops achieved the safe recovery of men, women, and children who had been held in captivity under harsh conditions after being abducted from several communities,, same time we are celebrating the safe release of Chief Adebayo Adelabu’s sister with her twin sons.”
“We hope and pray that the Oyo school children and their teachers alongside other abductees across the state of the federation will also be rescued soon.”
