This is why Peter Obi and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are offering what I call an ALTERNATIVE CONVERSATION. It is not built on slogans. As a researcher tracking governance and cost-of-living data, I find that the Obi-Kwankwaso framework directly addresses Nigeria’s current economic pressure points.
With headline inflation at 15.43% and food inflation at 20.31% as of July 2026 [NBS CPI Report, July 2026], households in Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt, and Owerri are asking for delivery, not declarations.
While governance requires global engagement, citizens also need leadership present to manage domestic economic stress. The alternative conversation being offered by Peter Obi and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso centers on four measurable pillars: fiscal discipline, food security, affordable transport, and investment in education and health.
