2027: We’ll Campaign With Results Of President Tinubu’s Policies, Not Name-Calling— Says Dr Folashade Olabanji-Oba

The Honourable Commissioner, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Aarebirin Hon. Princess Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has said the APC’s campaign for the 2027 elections will focus on the positive results and impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies, rather than personal attacks or divisive rhetoric.

She stated that the party will approach the polls with a message of accountability, development and verifiable achievements, urging Nigerians to judge the administration based on policies already implemented and their emerging impact on the economy and society.

“We are campaigning with positive results of H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s great policies, not name-calling. Nigerians deserve to hear what has been achieved, what is being done differently and how these policies are creating opportunities for the greater future,” she said.

According to Aarebirin Olabanji-Oba, political campaigns should be about presenting competing visions for Nigeria and explaining what each administration has achieved, rather than resorting to insults or attempts to distract voters from substantive issues.

“We should campaign with facts, figures, projects and the experiences of ordinary Nigerians. Where there are challenges, we should acknowledge them and explain the solutions. Where there are achievements, we should communicate them clearly. We must engage and participate peacefully. We all matter and are first and foremost family.”

The APC chieftain noted that the Tinubu-led administration inherited significant economic and structural challenges but had demonstrated the political will to undertake difficult reforms aimed at repositioning the Nigerian economy for sustainable growth.

She particularly highlighted reforms in infrastructure, transportation, investment, energy, healthcare, education and economic management as areas where the administration’s policies should be subjected to public evaluation.

Aarebirin Olabanji-Oba maintained that Nigeria stands to benefit significantly from continued investment in infrastructure and economic development, stressing the need for stronger partnership between the federal government and states to unlock the nation’s commercial and industrial potential.

“Nigeria is truly blessed and loaded with great resources,” she added.

She called on APC members, supporters and campaigners to focus on communicating the administration’s programmes and achievements to Nigerians while avoiding inflammatory language.

Aarebirin Olabanji-Oba also appealed to political leaders and followers across the country to make the 2027 electoral process a contest of positive ideas, policies and records.

“The 2027 election should be about Nigeria’s future, not political name-calling. Our responsibility is to tell Nigerians what H.E. President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is doing, present the results and allow the people to make an informed decision,” she said.

She expressed confidence that Nigerians would ultimately make their choice based on performance, credibility and the direction they believe will best serve the country’s interest.

Aarebirin Olabanji-Oba reaffirmed her “one hundred percent total loyalty and support” for President Tinubu and all APC candidates across the nation, and said the party will continue to mobilize citizens around the Renewed Hope Agenda in a responsible and constructive manner.

Aarebirin Hon. Princess Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba also serves as National Deputy BOT Chairman of ALGONVC, Global DG/Founder of ADAM-Renewed Hope, National Coordinator of APD-Renewed Hope, Director of Women Affairs, South West Zonal, Tinubu Torch Bearers, Chairperson APC Amazons, Apex Member SWAGA, National Organising Secretary, South West Zonal, APC Support Groups Council, National Director of Women Affairs, 774 Women for Tinubu/Shettima, and President of Shelter of Grace Foundation.
