Buruj Football Club and Buruj Sports Academy have again taken a major step in advancing young Nigerian footballers, with three of its players registered for professional football trials in the United Kingdom.
The players are Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen, Fawas Ayomide Adeleke, and Jacob Obiora Iyida.
The registration, confirmed in August 2026, marks another milestone in Buruj’s drive to provide international exposure and career pathways for its academy graduates.
Buruj said the UK trial opportunity will expose the trio to a different football environment, competitive structures, and professional standards outside Nigeria.
The initiative is designed to allow the players to test themselves against top young talents, experience UK coaching methods, and gain visibility within the British football system.
“Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen, Fawas Ayomide Adeleke and Jacob Obiora Iyida have continued to demonstrate commitment and determination in their football development, and their UK trial registration provides another platform for them to showcase their abilities,” the academy stated.
According to Buruj, the move aligns with the club’s wider philosophy of combining football development with education and international exposure.
The academy emphasized that international opportunities help young players understand diverse tactical approaches, coaching methodologies, and football cultures, while preparing them for opportunities both on and off the pitch.
“Buruj Football and Buruj Sports Academy believe that international exposure can play an important role in helping young footballers understand different coaching methods, tactical approaches and football cultures,” the statement added.
Buruj said it remains committed to building sustainable pathways that allow talented players to pursue professional football ambitions while also developing academically and personally.
