SYF & ONC Set To Host Second Edition Of Ogbele Public Awareness Campaign On Developmental Projects

In a renewed drive to foster grassroots development and civic responsibility, the Southern Youth Foundation (SYF) in conjunction with the Orashi National Congress (ONC) will host the second edition of a One-Day Public Awareness Campaign in Ogbele Community on Monday, 11th August, 2025.

The awareness campaign, themed: “Let Us Embrace Projects Like Cottage Hospital, Renovation of Ogbele Secondary School, 4-Kilometre Road Project and the Just Concluded Community Medical Outreach,” aims to sensitize the people of Ogbele to the value and necessity of accepting and supporting developmental interventions spearheaded by governmental bodies, NGOs, and corporate stakeholders — notably including Aradel Holdings Plc.

According to a public statement from the Convener, Ambassador Emeni Ibe, who doubles as the National President of SYF and ONC, the campaign is a strategic engagement tool designed to bridge the gap between development agencies and the grassroots.

“This campaign is not just about highlighting the projects,” Amb. Ibe stated, “but about changing mindsets and galvanizing the people of Ogbele to take ownership and responsibility for these opportunities. We must collectively build a future where development is sustained by community collaboration.”

The event is scheduled to begin by 11:00AM and will feature an impressive lineup of respected leaders and stakeholders as guests, including: Guest of Honour: The Area Commander, Ahoada Area Command

Resource Guest: The Chairman, Council of Chiefs, Ogbele Community

Elder/Nye Nwe Ele: Ogbele Community

Guest of Honour: The President, OYDA, Ogbele Community

Royal Father of the Day: His Royal Highness, Eze Nwe-Ula of Ogbele Community

Resource Guest of Honour: The DPO, Ahoada Divisional Police Headquarters

Resource Guest: The Women Leader, Ogbele Community

The organizers expect strong attendance from youth groups, traditional leaders, community elders, and representatives of relevant organizations.
This second edition builds on the success of the previous awareness campaign, which saw increased community engagement and strengthened relationships between Ogbele and developmental agencies.

The Southern Youth Foundation (SYF) and Orashi National Congress (ONC) are civil society organizations dedicated to youth empowerment, development advocacy, and the promotion of transparency and inclusion in community development across the South-South region.
