Save The Girl Child: Mayor Amaka Obi Urges Girls To Pursue Their Dreams With Passion & Purpose

The Idemili South Local Government Area has taken a significant step towards promoting the welfare and development of young girls in the council area with Mayor Obi Amaka Iyom, attending the “Save the Girl Child Nnobi 2025” edition.

As the special guest of honour and speaker, Mayor Amaka delivered a keynote address that inspired young girls to pursue their dreams and ambitions. She emphasized the importance of hard work and determination in achieving one’s goals, citing Amb. Dr. Chioma Nwosu, the Girl Child Ambassador as a role model for young girls to emulate.

The audience, comprising young girls and stakeholders in the community, received Mayor Amaka’s words of wisdom and encouragement with enthusiasm. Her commitment to empowering the girl child was further demonstrated by her donation of sanitary pads to support the programme.

In recognition of her outstanding support and dedication, Mayor Amaka was presented with an Award of Recognition, acknowledging her tireless efforts to promote the welfare and development of women and girls in Idemili South.
