Renewed Hope In Soludo’s Leadership In Anambra

As the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, prepares to visit Anambra State on May 8th, 2025, the atmosphere is abuzz with excitement and anticipation.

This momentous occasion is not just to affirm the state’s progress but also a celebration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s remarkable achievements. Over the past few years, Soludo’s administration has been a whirlwind of activity, transforming the state’s infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and social welfare.

The President’s visit to Anambra is a significant moment in the state’s history. It demonstrates that, despite party affiliations, the needs of the people come first. This visit is an affirmation of the President’s commitment to democratic values and his willingness to acknowledge and support the efforts of state governments, regardless of their political leanings.

The President’s visit will be a fitting acknowledgment of these efforts, showcasing a new Anambra that has emerged under Soludo’s visionary leadership.

What will the president find?

 

A. Renewed hope in Infrastructure Development

One of the most striking aspects of Soludo’s administration has been the unprecedented focus on infrastructure development.

With over 740 kilometers of roads constructed, including dual carriageways, Anambra has never been more connected than now.

These roads have not only eased transportation but also opened up new economic opportunities, facilitating the movement of goods and people across the state.

The construction of the new Government House and Governor’s Lodge, complete with a presidential lodge and amphitheater, are symbols of the state’s growing importance and Soludo’s commitment to providing world-class facilities.

The Soludo – Michael Opara Agriculture Revolution model, in which he has distributed palm seedlings and economic trees to millions of families, is a Soludo’s vision for a self-sufficient and prosperous Anambra.

B. Revamping Essential Services

Mr. President will see that Soludo’s administration has also prioritized essential services, revamping the state’s pipe-borne water system to ensure that clean water is accessible to all.

In education, the introduction of free education in all secondary schools has been a game-changer, empowering thousands of young Anambrarians to pursue their dreams without financial burdens.

The one youth 2 skill and solution innovation hub that has trained thousands of young people into the digital skill are reducing unemployment. These initiatives are not only improving literacy rates but also equipping the next generation with the skills they need to succeed.

C. A New Standard of Care

Asiwaju will notice that the healthcare sector has also seen significant improvements under Soludo’s leadership. The construction of five new general hospitals and the renovation of Primary Health Care (PHC) centers across the state are expanding access to quality healthcare delivery.

The introduction of free ante-natal and post-natal services is to show the administration’s commitment to maternal health. The building of a trauma center and the facelift of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOU) Awka are further evidence of Soludo’s dedication to providing world-class healthcare facilities.

D. A Safer Anambra

Not only Mr. President will see this one, his security details will see that security has been a top priority for Soludo’s administration, with the introduction of the Anambra State Homeland Security Law 2025 and the establishment of the Agunechemba security outfit.

Operation Udo Ga Achi (Peace Must Reign) is a comprehensive security initiative aimed at restoring peace and apprehending criminals. These efforts have contributed to a safer environment, where residents and visitors can live and work without fear.

E. Progressively working together in words and Actions

Mr. President will notice that more than anyone else, Gov Soludo’s leadership style embodies the progressive ideals of the All Progressives Alliance. From his commitment to leaving no one behind as reflected in the various initiatives.

Just as the progressives are committed to Socioeconomic and political order of the people – Governor, Soludo has shown that the welfare of the people is his ultimate concern.

As the President prepares to visit Anambra, the state is ready to showcase its progress and potential.

When the President comes to Anambra, he will witness firsthand the transformative impact of Soludo’s leadership. He will see in the faces of Ndi Anambra, a renewed hope on the education system, road construction like never before, healthcare delivery, a renewed hope on people’s trust in government.

The president will notice that Anambra under Soludo is on the cusp of a new era of development, with projects like the solution fun city and Anambra country club, breaking 35 years jinx of not having an official government house and building a new government house, new governor’s lodge, hundreds of kilometers of roads poised to drive innovation and economic growth.

These initiatives are not only creating opportunities for Anambrarians but also showcasing the state’s potential as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Mr. President will see that Soludo has done a good job in Anambra and like the Yoruba adage – Èrè fún iṣẹ́ takuntakun tí wọ́n ṣe jẹ́ iṣẹ́ púpọ̀ – reward for a work well done is more work!
