President Tinubu Returns From State Visit To United Kingdom

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have returned to Lagos from their visit to United Kingdom.

 

They touched down in Lagos in the early hours of Friday after a two-day state visit following invitation by King Charles III.

 

The presidential aircraft touched down at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 1:15am.

 

They were received by top government officials including Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and the President’s Chief of Staff, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

Also present were Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

President Tinubu is expected to spend the Eid al-Fitr celebrations in Lagos before returning to Abuja to resume official duties at the Presidential Villa.

During the visit, President Tinubu and the First Lady were hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at a state banquet held at Windsor Castle.

The President also held bilateral talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Downing Street.

Both countries signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) focused on port development and expanded trade cooperation, aimed at strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and the UK.
