The Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, in collaboration with the Chinese government, has sponsored a fifth batch of participants for an academic and social skills program in China.
Confirming this development via his verified social media handles, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu noted that the three beneficiaries from the Abia North senatorial zone departed Nigeria on Tuesday, September 16, and are expected to arrive in Beijing today, Wednesday, September 17.
The participants included; Nnenna Anthonia Onoh from Arochukwu LGA, Kelechi Paul Uche from Bende LGA, and Victor Chigozie Etie from Umunneochi LGA, who will be attending a senior management seminar on Marine Biodiversity Conservation for developing countries.
According to the lawmaker, the seminar is organized by the Fujian Institute of Oceanography in China.
The statement added that the foundation believes the training will enhance increased collaboration, productivity, innovation, and creativity.
Senator Kalu expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and President Xi Jinping for their continuous support and commitment to improving skills and innovation in Nigeria.
He specifically acknowledged the role of Ambassador Yu Dunhai in fostering the deep friendship and partnership between the two nations, which has led to the sponsorship of programs that enhance collaboration and productivity.
The program is a continuation of the foundation’s efforts to provide educational and skill development opportunities for Nigerian youth.
