
Respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, has paid a courtesy visit to the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale.

Cisca News reports that the Congress paid the visit on Thursday 17th July, 2025, at the State Police Command in Port Harcourt.
In his speech during the visit, the President General of the Congress, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe said, “On behalf of the good people of Orashi Region in Rivers State which comprises Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas of Rivers State, we the members of delegation of the Orashi National Congress, extend our best wishes to you on this historic occasion of our visit to your office”.

“The entire membership of the congress have mandated this delegation to register the deepest and profound appreciation to you and your officers for the good work you have being doing in the state in general and our region in particular.”
“We have come to partner with you and to register our willingness to work with you to ensure total security of lives and properties, promotion of peace in our area from Ahoada East to Abua/Odual and Ahoada West to Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGAs of Rivers State. Our region needs serious security networking and policing to be proactive instead of reactive, while we appreciate your Command for the success recorded in the area.”

“We lack words to express the profound gratitude of our people but all we can say is a big thank you and you can rest assured of our continued cooperation because we are proud of your achievements in the State.”
“In recognition of your outstanding commitment to maintaining peace, law, and order across Rivers State, having reviewed recent security developments, we acknowledged the significant role you have played in stabilizing volatile areas, particularly in the Orashi region, It will be recalled that in our previous security and peace summit in Ahoada Town on 14th February, 2025 wherein we conferred on you certificate of excellence, which was received on your behalf by Late ASP Cecy Brown, the then Area Commander Ahoada Area Command, may we seek our permission to observe one minute silence, may her soul rest in peace. We hereby present to you an award of honour as the most Outstanding Commissioner of Police in Rivers State. We are proud of you for your contributions to proper policing in the state right from when you were DC Operations and now Commissioner of Police.”

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale, in his brief remarks, thanked the Congress for the visit and their enlightenment campaigns towards ensuring peace and security in the the region. He promised to always support the group as they spread the message of nonviolence and peace.
