
The Orashi National Congress, ONC, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Divisional Police Officer of Akinima Division, CSP Ojo Lawrence, on his well-deserved recognition as the Overall Best Divisional Police Officer in Rivers State.
The prestigious honour, presented during the 6th edition of the “Police is Your Friend” Campaign and Bosinde Dinner organized by the Bosinde Araikpe Global Peace Initiative in collaboration with the Rivers State Police Command, was held on Saturday, 1st November 2025, in Port Harcourt.
CSP Ojo Lawrence received the Public Choice Award for his outstanding performance, professionalism, and commitment to ensuring peace, safety, and effective policing within Akinima Division and the Orashi region at large.
In a statement released by the President General of the Orashi National Congress, Amb. (Snr. Comr.) Emeni Ibe, the Congress commended CSP Lawrence for his dedication and people-oriented policing approach, which has greatly contributed to the restoration of peace and public trust in the region.
“CSP Ojo Lawrence has demonstrated the true spirit of community policing through transparency, accessibility, and professionalism. His leadership in Akinima Division has set a benchmark for effective police-community relations, and we are proud that this recognition reflects the collective values of the Orashi people,” the statement read.
Amb. Ibe further appreciated the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, and Amb. Bosinde Araikpe, founder of the Global Peace Initiative, for recognizing and rewarding excellence within the Police force, noting that such gestures inspire other officers to serve with greater dedication.
The Orashi National Congress reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the Nigeria Police Force to enhance peace, security, and community development across the Orashi region.
