
Respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC), led by its President General, Amb. Comr. Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has warmly welcomed the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Mrs. Ngozi Nma Odu and members of the state’s executive entourage to Ahoada, ahead of the commissioning of the Ahoada Zonal Hospital, Ahoada East.
In a statement issued in Ahoada, Amb. Emeni Ibe described the Governor’s visit as a landmark moment for the Orashi region, noting that the upgraded zonal hospital represents a major boost to healthcare delivery, access to quality medical services, and improved well-being for residents of Ahoada East and adjoining communities.
He commended the Fubara-led administration for prioritising people-centred projects, particularly in the health sector, stressing that the rehabilitation and commissioning of the Ahoada Zonal Hospital aligns with the government’s commitment to inclusive development and grassroots impact.
The ONC President General assured the Governor, Deputy Governor, and their entourage of a peaceful, hospitable, and memorable stay, reaffirming the Congress’ unwavering support for policies and programmes that advance development, unity, and prosperity across Rivers State.
The commissioning ceremony is scheduled to hold at the Ahoada Zonal Hospital, with community leaders, stakeholders, and residents expected to turn out in large numbers to witness what the Congress described as “a historic step towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Rivers West”.
