All Is now set for respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, to embark on sensitisation and awareness campaign over flood management and control.
Cisca News reports that the ONC is organizing the noble initiative in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South South Office.
The sensitisation campaign with the theme, “Together For A Safer Tomorrow: Managing Flood Through Awareness and Action” is now expected to take place on Friday 28th November, 2025, at the Information Centre, Ahoada, by 11am.
According to the Convener and ONC PG, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), highly expected at the event as the Special Guest of Honour is the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Her Excellency Prof Ngozi Nma Odu. Also expected as Guests of Honour are Hon. Solomon Abuba Ochoma (Executive Chairman, Ahoada East LGA), Hon Eugene Chita Epelle JP (Executive Chairman, Ahoada West LGA), Hon Engr. Owolabi Ofori (Executive Chairman, Abua/Odual LGA), and Hon. Dr Chukwu Ogbogu Shedrack (Executive Chairman, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA).
According to the ONC, critical stakeholders across Orashi region and Rivers State are expected to be in attendance.
