Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, has refuted news of fresh crisis in Rivers State.
In a statement signed by the President General of the ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, the Congress said, “Our attention has been drawn to a publication captioned “FRESH CRISIS LOOMS IN RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT”, which is being circulated on the social media by ORANGE BLOG.
“We wish to state categorically that the said publication by a group, which described itself as Loyalists of Her Excellency, did not emanate from the Deputy Governor of Rivers State.”
“Her Excellency remains committed to the unity, stability and the continual progress of Rivers State under the leadership of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State. We are very sure that such write up was sponsored by enemies of the state, who are not comfortable with the recent firm stand of His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State. We have total confidence in Her Excellency Prof Ngozi Odu, Deputy Governor of Rivers State and her total loyalty to her boss. Members of the general public are advised to disregard any such news as it is fake and with malicious intent” Ambassador Emeni Ibe (JP AP) concluded.
