
Respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, has postponed its planned sensitisation and awareness campaign over flood management and control.
The ONC had earlier scheduled to hold the event in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South South Office on Saturday 8th November, 2025, Ahoada East Local Government Secretariat, by 11am.
Making the disclosure on Friday, the President General of the Orashi National Congress, Amb Comrade Emeni said that the exercise, with the theme “Together For A Safer Tomorrow: Managing Flood Through Awareness and Action” is expected to take place on a new date to be announced by the ONC.
The Convener and ONC PG, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP) said, “We wish to announce that our earlier scheduled sensitisation and awareness campaign slated for Saturday has been postponed. A new date will be communicated accordingly. We regret any inconvenience the postponement has caused invited guests and stakeholders. We plead for your understanding. Thank you!”
