
The President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Comrade Emeni Ibe, has commended Omoku youths for organising a peaceful protest over the power situation in the area.
The protest, which took place in the early hours of 7th April, 2026, had the indigenes and non-indigenes of Omoku community express their displeasure concerning the epileptic power issue affecting the town.
Speaking on behalf of the ONC leadership, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe said, “I must commend the Omoku youths for drawing the attention of the multinational company, Oando, in a peaceful manner”.
“I will advise the Omoku youths to trust the words of Mr. Clinton Chukwu, the Oando community relations person, that efforts are currently being made to restore the fault.”
“Let Omoku youths continue in the path of dialogue and peaceful coexistence with the multinational, Oando, and allow them some time to fix the power challenge” Amb Ibe concluded.
